At Glad to Dance, samba is much more than learning dance steps. It is a journey of self-discovery, confidence, joy, and personal transformation.
My classes are designed to help you reconnect with your inner beauty, build self-esteem and confidence, overcome shyness, release stress, heal emotional wounds, regain your strength, and embrace self-care. Through samba, you'll reconnect with your roots, celebrate your ancestry, and learn to be fully present with yourself.
Dance has the power to nourish not only the body but also the mind and spirit. My goal is for every student to leave class feeling happier, lighter, stronger, and more connected to themselves.
From a technical perspective, we work on:
Every lesson respects your individual pace, goals, and experience level.
Beyond learning how to dance, you'll experience the many physical, emotional, and mental health benefits that dance naturally provides.
Every private lesson is personalized to meet your individual goals, experience level, and learning style.
Each lesson is scheduled for one hour. However, when time allows, I often continue beyond the scheduled session at no additional cost because I'm passionate about teaching and committed to each student's progress.
The lesson packages offer the best value while allowing us to build consistent progress together.
Teaching dance is not simply my profession—it is my purpose.
Dance has transformed my life in countless ways. Throughout every stage of my journey, it has given me strength, confidence, happiness, resilience, and hope.
Sharing my knowledge allows me to pass on the same joy, healing, and blessings that dance—and especially samba—has given me.
Every class is an opportunity to inspire others to feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to themselves.
In Brazil, I founded and owned Pulsarte, which became the largest private multicultural dance school in Latin America.
My samba journey began in 1997 as a Passista with Dragões da Real Samba School, where I proudly performed until 2016, serving in several prestigious roles, including Featured Dancer (Destaque).
In 2023, I was honored with the title of Muse of the Composers.
I also served as Godmother of the Drum Section (Madrinha de Bateria) for Leandro de Itaquera Samba School and continue to participate in Brazil's Carnival community today.
After moving to the United States, I have continued sharing Brazilian culture through samba. I perform in parades throughout Los Angeles and Long Beach, collaborate with Brazilian dance groups, and perform at social and corporate events, bringing the energy, elegance, and vibrant spirit of Brazilian samba to audiences of all backgrounds.
When you join Glad to Dance, you're not just learning samba.
You're investing in yourself.
You'll gain confidence, improve your physical and emotional well-being, celebrate Brazilian culture, and discover that samba is not only a dance—it's a way to express joy, resilience, freedom, and love.
